Operations Supervisor

Operations Supervisor – Full Time


Permanent – 40 hours per week including evening and weekend work
£26,000
(opportunity to earn up to £37,000 with overtime)


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the high-quality delivery of operational objectives and managing events in consultation with line management
  • Effectively manage and motivate staff to meet operational expectations
  • Manage operational staff to ensure all tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner
  • Liaise with agreed clients to manage and deliver operational expectations
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures relating to the role including laws and regulatory influences
  • Demonstrate professionalism at all times upholding the reputation of Practical Event Solutions
  • Liaise effectively and appropriately with a wide range of stakeholders, including written communication

Skills & Experience required:

  • Currently hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
  • Experience in Event Security and Crowd Management
  • Experience in operational supervision/management within the Security, Crowd Management or Event industry
  • Experience supervising/managing teams
  • Excellent customer service and professional communication skills at all levels
  • A full driving licence is essential for this role
  • Competency and experience in translating client requirements into a security operation
  • Proven experience in prioritising workload, meeting deadlines and working under pressure
  • Computer literate and competency using Microsoft Office desirable

Junior Operations Assistant

Junior Operations Assistant – Events and Festivals

Essential:

  • Committed to working weekends to meet operational demands

Desirable:

  • Good understanding in the use of social media

  • SIA Door Supervisors License
  • Experience within security / crowd management

Door Supervisor / Event Steward

Do you have an SIA Licence or looking to become an Event Steward?

We offer the opportunity for you to earn between £5,000 – £8,000 attending various festivals and events across the summer season, with transport, meals and uniform provided. You will be working as part of our experienced and dedicated team.

Salary: SIA from £12.88 to £15.00 per hour (Based on experience)
Salary: Steward £11.68 per hour (Based on experience)

We are hiring SIA licenced Events Security Operatives and Event Stewards to join our Festival / Events Crowd Management team working at some the UK’s premium Festivals and Events including:

Neighbourhood, Parklife, Creamfields, Tramlines, Nocturne, Junction 2 and Sundown to name a few

Event Security duties at festivals include:

  • Customer service
  • Searching of customers
  • Patrol teams
  • Stage / Pit security
  • Access control
  • Asset protection

Event Steward Duties at festivals include:

  • Customer service
  • Directional information
  • Various non SIA positions

About you:
We are looking for individuals who currently hold an SIA Licence (DS or CP), who can demonstrate the following:
